Lori Mason, Certified Master Dog Trainer
Lori graduated from Canada West Canine Centre as a Certified Master Dog Trainer. Canada West is the only school to be registered with the Post-Secondary Education Commission in B.C. She works with all breeds teaching all levels of obedience, puppy kindergarten, agility, distraction, behaviour modification and more. She offers both group classes and private lessons, either in your home, at the shop or outdoors.
In the past, Lori has been the Volunteer Dog Coordinator at a shelter, teaching the orientation for the dog walking program. This included showing people how to handle and manage dogs on leash for enjoyable walks as well as teaching people how to read basic dog body language. She conducted temperament assessments for the shelter dogs as well as helping the new rescues transition successfully into their new homes.
Lori is the Coordinator of the “Roxy Relief“ program (www.pawsforhope.org). This program feeds homeless peoples pets in the downtown east side. Food, jackets, leashes, collars and vet care are all provided at no cost to people who are unable to support their pets in this manner. She also participates in several community functions that aid in animal welfare.
Lori is continuously updating her skills and knowledge by attending conferences, workshops and seminars, as well as trade shows.
