Learn how to handle your reactive dog. If he lunges, barks, growls, and pulls towards other dogs while on leash, this class is for you! This class will coach and teach you techniques to help you have a calm walk with your dog as well as an understanding of why he exhibits this behaviour.
We won’t beat around the bush, having what’s known as a reactive dog is really hard. People who don’t have one don’t always understand. You begin to wonder: Is it my fault? (No!) Is my dog just bad? (No!) You feel guilty because there are times when all you want to do is throw in the towel. Just remember, you and your dog are not alone!
Every dog is different and every reactive dog has its own triggers for responding negatively. We learn from every situation and we work with it.
In Bad Behavior: Triggers & Training, we will learn together how to handle these events and how to do it with confidence. You will learn to work with (instead of struggling against) your reactive dog, how to keep their focus on you regardless of the distractions or disruptions around them. You will learn techniques for training and redirecting your dog under high stimulus in high stress environments. Together, you and your dog will build confidence in each other and overcome obstacles in your way.
