Intermediate Obedience

2018 was action packed with many wonderful classes. Very sadly, there was a  huge personal loss of all three of my beloved dogs. Two passed within the same week, and my last boy passed just recently. I've had these beautiful creatures for up to 11 years.

2019 classes will begin in Spring/Summer. Thank you for your patience and please contact me to find out about schedules then.

Pre-requisite: Completion of Basic Obedience

Thursday evenings from 8:00 - 8:45 pm

October 4, 11, 18, 25, November 1,  2018  (5 weeks)

*No classes on long weekends or statutory holidays

Classes will be taught at Downtown Dogs, 3387 Kingsway, Vancouver

A minimum of 4 dogs are needed in order to hold the class

Why should I take this class?

Conquered basic obedience? Why not take your communication skills to the next level? You and your dog can go from good companions to even better companions with our intermediate obedience class.

​

During this five-week class, you and your pooch will learn two new valuable commands. The first is the stand command, holding a still standing position until told otherwise. The second is a great technique called “hands free heeling”. This method develops your dog’s understanding and response to instructions without the need for physical touch. During training, we will also test your dog’s skill level, working on improving their focus regardless of different distractions.
